Welcome !

Welcome on Psycho Lily's blog !
And here is my first post ! I am French and this is a new step for me, 'cause I wanted for a long time to translate my website. So please, be kind with my English, I am not used yet to write in the language of Shakespeare John Cleese !
First, let me introduce myself. I am a French dread maker, and here is the original version of my website : psycholily.fr, where I  have written all you need to know about synthetic dreads, and where is a collection of pictures of my work. Hum yes, it's all written in French, but don't panic ! The most important is translated on the right section "Pages".
I have so many things to share about my work, that's why I created this blog, (first in French of course), and because I need more interactions with my customers and people who follow me ! So don't hesitate to comment (no account or registration needed) or share on social networks, I'll be pleased to know what you think !
So, I guess you've never heard about Psycho Lily, that's why I prepared a little recap :
I am Rachel, I'm 23, and I make synthetic dreads, I run a small shop in Nîmes (south of France), where I install dreads on my customers, and make different kinds of jewels and accessories.
I have many inspirations : cinema (from horror movies to silly theatre shows) , literature, rock'n'roll music or steampunk  universe.
Everything can be custom made, you just have to contact me and explain what you are looking for. You can also discover my online shop ("A little Market" is the French "Etsy"). Shipping is not yet set up for outside France, but if you are interested in something, please let me know : that will get me moving and do it once and for all instead of procrastinate again ! Of course the choice is larger in my "physical" shop, so if one day you decide to travel to the south of France for its famous heat, sun and gourmet food, come and say hello to me !

So, despite the name of my shop, my name isn't Lily. On the French version of this post, I explain what Psycho Lily means, (my customers keep calling me Lily, and don't make the link with the Lily flower :  la fleur de lys) and I am glad you can understand this by yourself ^^ But I can though tell you why I have chosen this name :

To me, Psycho Lily is a character, a crazy young lady who still believes in fairy tales, or a wonderful but poisoned flower. It symbolizes the style of my shop and my influences. I also liked the pun with "Psychobilly", a musical style (a combination of rockabilly, punk rock and horror films) such as The Cramps or The Meteors for example.
Below are illustrations by different artists which represent the character.

To sum up, I make stuff for naughty and beautiful girls !

Chronology :

I started to make synthetic dreads in 2010, first for myself, and then for friends of mine. I worked in a restaurant for two years, while I had more and more orders. Since 2012, I'm entirely dedicated to this activity, first by exhibiting during festivals and receiving my customers home, and then in 2013 I opened my shop in Nîmes (France), where I still am while I write these words !

It's thanks to my French customers who follow me since a while, if I succeeded to go through with my projects : a place dedicated to sell and install your dreads, and where we can meet each other : my shop. Of course, quite small and made with odds and ends, but full of love and passion, and I hope I will be able one day to set a workshop up, so that I can make more dreads, and make new styles of unique jewels !

I also want since a long time to make dreads sets ready to send, from the most natural and simple to the most original and fantasy according to my imagination, which would be delivered very quickly.
From that time, I participated to many projects with great persons, like making hairstyles for circus artists (whom I hope to see on stage soon !), a narrator witch, photo shoots with gifted photographers, a fashion show, and the adventure goes on !
